The Gouda-based graffiti artist Abderrahim Hachimi, also known as Rasta, created this artwork on the wall of the Animo coffee shop. It depicts the historic ship ‘Statenjacht De Utrecht’ trapped inside a bottle. The work was completed in the summer of 2022 after a year of work. Rasta drew inspiration from the reconstruction of the ‘Statenjacht De Utrecht’, which was built over a period of six years by around 100 unemployed young people, following the original construction plans from 1746. In this way, the young people learnt a trade and were subsequently able to enter the labour market. --- De Goudse graffitikunstenaar Abderrahim Hachimi, ook wel Rasta, maakte dit kunstwerk op de muur van coffeeshop Animo. Het verbeeldt het historische schip ‘Statenjacht De Utrecht’ gevangen in een fles. Het werk werd na een jaar tijd in de zomer van 2022 voltooid. Rasta liet zich inspireren door de reconstructie van Statenjacht De Utrecht, dat door ongeveer 100 werkloze jongeren in 6 jaar tijd werd gebouwd volgens de originele bouwtekeningen uit 1746. De jongeren leerden zo een ambacht en konden daarna aan de slag op de arbeidsmarkt.
