Schlachthofstraße 1 in Hagen-Wehringhausen served as the official headquarters and main hub for the inaugural Urban Heroes Festival in autumn 2016. [1, 2]

Initiated by cultural manager Ihsan Alisan and co-organized with urban artist Daniel Man, this historic former slaughterhouse compound (Alter Schlachthof) was transformed into an immersive, interdisciplinary open-air gallery and festival ground. More than 40 street artists and 50 musicians gathered here to bring the industrial site to life.
