The French expression “se sentir pousser des ailes” literally translates as “to feel wings growing”, its meaning is to feel more confident, empowered, or capable of doing something extraordinary, "to feel like you can fly".
The expression 'Se sentir pousser des ailes' is illustrated by the painting Woman at the Mirror, created in 1841 by the painter Christoffer Wilhelm Eckersberg, which is part of the private art collection of the Danish industrialist Heinrich Hirschsprung.
