Le projet Gladpow est né en 2020, inspiré d'une photo en noir et blanc de l’artiste, le visage caché par sa chevelure.

Tout a commencé dans la rue, en y collant des portraits pour interpeller les passants. Des portraits sans visage. Pour l’artiste, le concept de « portrait invisible » est une façon d’exprimer le souvenir qui s’efface, et d’en raviver d’autres qui sont ancrés dans la mémoire collective.

Le concept de Gladpow : réfléchir sur les emblèmes, les personnes que l'on rencontre, les détourner en ne montrant des visages que leurs contours, et les intégrer dans un environnement urbain qui appelle le public à s’interroger sur son rapport à l’art et à l’identité.

Le jeu étant pour les spectateurs de reconnaître - ou non - le ou les personnages qui se cachent derrière ces visages effacés. Chaque portrait est un challenge que seul le public saura juger comme atteint ou non.

Les couleurs vives et le trait au feutre épais qui sont la marque de fabrique de l’artiste, reflètent sa personnalité, sa joie, le « glad power ».

The Gladpow project was born in 2020, inspired by a black and white photo of the artist, the face hidden by her hair.

It all started in the street, by pasting portraits to catch passersby. Faceless portraits. For the artist, the concept of "invisible portrait" is a way to express the memory that fades, and to revive others that are rooted in the collective memory.

The concept of Gladpow: to reflect on the emblems, the people one meets, to divert them by showing faces only their contours, and to integrate them into an urban environment that calls the public to question its relationship with art and identity.

The game being for the spectators to recognize - or not - the character(s) hiding behind these erased faces. Each portrait is a challenge that only the public will be able to judge as reached or not.

The bright colors and the thick felt pen that are the artist’s trademark reflect his personality, his joy, the "glad power".
