Street Art Cities

Vorig jaar nodigde de organisatie Wallin' deze twee Spaanse kunstenaars uit om een ​​verborgen groenplekje in Gent te beschilderen. Onder de nieuwsgierige voorbijgangers ontmoetten ze Dieter en Sofie, hun huis kijkt uit op het park. Het idee voor een muurschildering op hun huis speelde al een tijdje, maar het juiste moment was nog nooit. Totdat ze dys deze kunstenaars plotseling in hun buurt zagen schilderen.

Antonio ging aan de slag en liet zich inspireren door glas-in-loodramen en art-deco geometrie, die hij vertaalde naar zijn eigentijdse vormen die de architectuur van het huis weerspiegelen.

Last year, the Wallin' organisation invited these two Spanish artists to paint a hidden green spot in Ghent. Among the curious neighbours that passed by they met Dieter and Sofie, whose home overlooks the park. The idea of a mural on their house was there already for a while, but the right moment never quite appeared. Until suddenly they saw these artists painting in their neighbourhood.

Antonio went to work, taking cues from stained-glass windows and art-deco geometry, translated into his contemporary shapes that echo the architecture of the house.
