Gina Smith is a contemporary portrait painter whose work explores and celebrates local communities. Her first love is documenting people and moments which are often fleeting and forgotten. As paintings last longer than memories, Gina looks to help eternalise hers so they are never forgotten.
Gina lives and works in London. This work was created as part of the public art installation on Portobello Wall, launched 14th of May 2024.
Street art lover/walker/photographer/researcher irl children’s book publisher, author and translator, living in Rotterdam. My favourite place in the world is London and in particular the area around Brick Lane (Shoreditch).
My avatar is a picture taken at the corner of Braithwaite Street and Bethnal Green Road (Shoreditch, London) of a street art poster by Shepard Fairey and Damien Hirst: Third Eye Butterfly Mandala.
