This 17-meter-high, 8-meter-long, and 3.5-meter-wide sculpture shapes the legendary Porsche 911. Mounted on a large stand that resembles a specimen pin in an entomological collection, it is made of 11 hydraulically moving segments and finished in a unique iridescent tone that imitates the natural colors of beetles in the wild.
The beetle moves twice every hour between 6:45 a.m. and 10:45 p.m., always at a quarter past and a quarter to the hour, with each movement lasting six minutes. It does not move in extreme heat or bad weather.
