This mural honors Marshall and Olalee McCall, early African American community members. Marshall was the first Black USPS carrier and Olalee was an English teacher at Douglass HS, the only one that Black students could attend until 1956. She became the principal in 1937, the first female HS principal in El Paso Independent School District. This is the only mural I've found in El Paso that specifically honors Black leaders.
