Description
Mafalda Santos (PT, 1980) created this artwork during the artistic residence in Viana do Castelo, within the scope of the Programme of Artistic Interventions and Community “NO MINHO NÃO HÁ ALDEIA MELHOR DO QUE A MINHA!” (In Minho, there is no village better than mine!).
The artist made an artistic intervention for the headquarters building of GRECANE (Recreational Group of Castelo do Neiva), that intends to celebrate and reflect the activity of this association, founded in 1975, linked to the preservation and celebration of traditions, costumes, dances and songs of Castelo do Neiva.
This project is promoted by the MINHO IN consortium that integrates the 24 municipalities of Minho and is curated by Helena Mendes Pereira.
