Performance Factory (EN)

The Performance Factory now stands on the site of the former Polaroid factory. Initially, the factory on the site served as a symbol of Twente’s thriving textile industry. Later, Polaroid cameras were repaired and instant film was produced there. You can still see many influences and traces of the past on the current site. For example, the beautiful exterior facade is clad in original bricks, and the old chimney remains intact. At this unique location, sports, business, dining, and drinking come together. For example, the Twentsche Foodhal is a place where you can choose your favorite dish from no fewer than eight different cuisines. Fun fact: the artists behind this mural, Element X Customs, are based at the Performance Factory.

Performance Factory (NL)

Op het voormalige Polaroid fabrieksterrein staat tegenwoordig de Performance Factory. In eerste instantie werd de fabriek op het terrein gebruikt als decor van de rijke textielindustrie van Twente. Daarna werden in de fabriek polaroidcamera’s gerepareerd en instant films geproduceerd. Je ziet nog veel invloeden en gebruikssporen uit het verleden op het huidige terrein. Zo is de prachtige buitengevel met originele bouwstenen bekleed en is de oude schoorsteen nog intact. Op deze unieke locatie komen sporten, ondernemen, eten en drinken samen. Zo is de Twentsche Foodhal een plek waar je uit maar liefst acht verschillende keukens jouw favoriete gerecht kiest. Leuk om te weten is dat de kunstenaars van deze muurschildering, Element X Customs, de Performance Factory als uitvalsbasis hebben.
