"MIRADA PROFUNDA" / "DEEP GAZE"

Description

The artist about his mural: “Deep Gaze” is more than just a mural; it is a tribute to the essence of Estepona and its people. This 22-metre-high mural not only reflects the depth of the sea that laps these shores, but also the emotional connection that has been forged during its creation. From the very first stroke, people passing by on the street would stop, look, take photos and share their thoughts with me. Many told me how much they liked it, how the mural made them feel something special, and that interaction was what really brought this work to life.

Despite the challenges, the unexpected rain, the sheer scale of the project and the day-to-day hurdles, every word of encouragement from the locals spurred me on. Those moments of conversation, those pauses to admire the work, transformed this project into something more than just a painting. This mural became a bridge connecting the gaze of passers-by with the depths of the sea and the soul of Estepona.

This mural is my gift to all of you, those who were with me every step of the way, those who stopped to look and take photos, and those who shared your wonder and support. “Deep Gaze” is a tribute to the majestic natural surroundings and to the people who make Estepona such a special place. May you find something new in that gaze every time you pass by, something that connects you even more closely with your town.

Thank you, Estepona, for all your warmth and for making me feel part of your community.

==========
