Happy School Day!

In the school playground of IKC De Regenboog, accessible via Parkietstraat, there is a colourful mural created by street artist Rolf de Bakker in collaboration with the pupils in Years 6 and 7 at the school. They contributed ideas for the mural, which De Bakker brought together into a cohesive whole.

The mural features a rainbow in a sunny landscape, which flows into emojis and symbols relating to school, along with the text ‘Happy School Day!'. A number of children were also allowed to help with the painting. The result was unveiled in July 2023.

Op het schoolplein van IKC De Regenboog, te bereiken via de Parkietstraat, bevindt zich een kleurige muurschildering die street artist Rolf de Bakker maakte in samenwerking met de leerlingen van groep 6 en 7 van deze school. Zij droegen de ideeën voor de schildering aan, die De Bakker samenbracht tot een geheel.

De schildering bestaat uit een regenboog in een zonnig landschap, die uitmondt in emoji’s en symbolen die met school te maken hebben en de tekst ‘Happy School Day!’. Ook bij de uitvoering mocht een aantal kinderen helpen schilderen. Het resultaat werd onthuld in juli 2023.
