UpLift! Jasper is a non‑profit mural festival based in the townsite of Jasper, located inside the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Jasper National Park. The festival is dedicated to producing and maintaining world‑class outdoor murals that beautify the downtown area, foster cultural growth, and give both locals and visitors a renewed reason to celebrate the landscape and community around them.
Each edition of UpLift! brings 3 to 4 new murals to life, created by a mix of emerging local artists, Indigenous artists, and internationally renowned muralists painting side by side. This blend of perspectives and styles strengthens Jasper’s cultural identity while keeping the festival accessible, inclusive, and community‑driven.
Set against the dramatic backdrop of the Rocky Mountains, the festival invites the public to witness large‑scale artworks being created in real time. Visitors can also join guided mural tours, which offer insight into the artists’ inspirations and the community stories behind each wall.
At its core, UpLift! Jasper aims to uplift the community, a metaphor inspired by the glaciers that once carved the region’s landscape. The founders see the festival as a cultural force that reshapes Jasper’s visual identity just as nature shaped its mountains.
