Description

==========

Artwork created for Inspire Festival 2026.

Inspire: "Spearheaded by the Caux-Austreberthe community of municipalities, this artistic residency was entrusted to Olivia Paroldi, who was invited to work with children living at the designated stopping place for the Traveller community, or 'children of the wind,' as she calls them, on a creative project centered on the art of printmaking.

From January to June, the children, aged 3 to 6, explored this technique while sharing stories of their daily lives. Drawing from their own world, caravans, cars, landscapes, animals, and familiar faces, each child created drawings inspired by their personal perspective and history. Once engraved and printed, these images reveal the full richness and uniqueness of their imaginations.

The project culminated at the festival’s closing celebration, where the children helped install their prints on bus shelters in Bouville, sharing their creations with the public.

It is a sensitive approach to creation and the passing on of knowledge, offering a fresh way to view the local area through the eyes and stories of these young artists.

The project was funded by the Caux-Austreberthe community of municipalities, the CAF (Family Allowance Fund), and the Seine-Maritime Department."
