Seven women

According to a famous Bashkir legend, seven beautiful Bashkir women were captured and tortured by a nomadic tribe. Eventually, they escaped, but, with no hope of getting away, they jumped off a cliff and ascended to the sky, where they became the constellation Ursa Major.
Another version of the legend says that they drowned in Lake «Күлтабан» (Kültaban).
