Na de tweedaagse 'Limburgia Tattoo Convention 2025' in het Thor Park volgde naar goede gewoonte de traditionele 'Aftermath graffitijam' waarbij vele artiesten die op de tattoobeurs aanwezig waren graffiti aanbrachten, ditmaal op de zijwanden van de brug aan de Zavelstraat in Pelt.

Dit werk is van Solo Cink. Als kunstenaar met een achtergrond in graffiti ontdekte Solo Cink de kunst van kalligrafie tijdens het reizen. Tegenwoordig creëert hij geometrisch werk dat doordrenkt is van geschiedenis, symboliek en alles wat heilig is. In een soort georganiseerde chaos herleeft hij de letter door een opeenvolging van vormen en contouren te creëren met een evenwichtige stroom. Zijn werk is nooit abstract, maar zit altijd boordevol betekenis.

After the two-day “Limburgia Tattoo Convention 2025” at Thor Park, the traditional “Aftermath graffiti jam” followed, as usual, with many artists who were present at the tattoo fair applying graffiti, this time on the side walls of the bridge on Zavelstraat in Pelt.

This work is by Solo Cink. As an artist with a background in graffiti, Solo Cink discovered the art of calligraphy whilst travelling. Nowadays, he is seen to create a geometrical body of work that is steeped in history, filled with symbolism and all things sacred. In a kind of organised chaos, he revisits the letter by creating a succession of shapes and contours with a balanced flow. Never abstract, his output is invariably fraught with meaning.
