A vibrant splash of floral colours takes over a corner of the Cairns Showgrounds at Severin and Scott Streets for Sea Walls Australia.
My impression of the Great Barrier Reef has always been tainted by the image of a vast underwater expanse of coral teeming with life and a thriving ecosystem that would remain that way for generations. However, the reef is threatened by global warming through ocean heatwaves which devastate the coral, and that could be the end of the reef if we don’t take action. So I wanted to make a garden that expressed the beauty of nature as a reminder of the things that surround us so that we can conserve our natural environment for future generations.
