This artwork was created in 1976 as a graphic work, which grew into a large mural painting in Marijampolė. In the center of the composition, a bent figure of a woman is hammering a stake, as if tying a cow to herself, symbolically showing her connection to the land and the village. Stasys Eidrigevičius spent his childhood in the village of Lepšiai near Panevėžys, and the farmstead described in the artist's poem "Giedanti gaidžio galva" (The Singing Rooster's Head) can be seen on the horizon.
Over the years, this ex-libris has been exhibited in various countries around the world and printed in catalogs and books. Now, this ex-libris from Marijampolė is probably the largest ex-libris in the world.
