Tellas, ha terminato il quarto murale a Porta a Mare parte del progetto 'Welcome to Pisa Festival' che ha già arricchito il quartiere con altre tre opere. Dopo 'Re-Nasci', 'Pisa 01' e 'Arno,30 toni', il mosaico di opere del Welcome to Pisa Festival si arricchisce di 'River Stories' che da oggi vivacizza il muro esterno dell’ex circolo Acli, di proprietà dell’adiacente parrocchia di San Giovanni al Gatano. L’edificio, che oggi ospita un bar e un cinema, è situato tra il lungarno San Giovanni al Gatano e via Conte Fazio, guarda verso le mura ed il centro della città, dislocandosi in un ideale percorso che collega Tuttomondo di Keith Haring alle opere di Porta a Mare, che riscopre, anche attraverso l’arte, le sue radici di quartiere operaio e cattolico.

"Con River stories - sottolinea il curatore Gian Guido Maria Grassi - Tellas permette alla natura di riappropriarsi del contesto urbano, restituendo al fiume uno spazio all'interno delle costruzioni della città. L'opera, che si affaccia sulla Chiesa di San Giovanni al Gatano progettata dal grande architetto Saverio Muratori, si ricollega verso le mura e il centro connettendosi verso il murale di Keith Haring".

"River stories - sottolinea l’artista Fabio Schirru - è un opera che vuole raccontare in maniera sintetica attraverso le forme e i colori, il fiume e il mare, due elementi che sono parte integrante della città di Pisa. L’astrazione poi incuriosisce chi guarda l’opera, e lo induce a riflettere, a viaggiare con la fantasia, perché l’arte astratta provoca suggestioni. Ho giocato con immagini che rimandano alla natura, con i fondali azzurri del fiume e del mare ed è proprio questo che rende interessante il gioco con lo spettatore".

Tellas, has finished the fourth mural in Porta a Mare, part of the 'Welcome to Pisa Festival' project which has already enriched the neighborhood with three other works. After 'Re-Nasci', 'Pisa 01' and 'Arno,30 toni', the mosaic of works of the Welcome to Pisa Festival is enriched with 'River Stories' which from today enlivens the external wall of the former Acli club, owned of the adjacent parish of San Giovanni al Gatano. The building, which today houses a bar and a cinema, is located between the Lungarno San Giovanni al Gatano and Via Conte Fazio, overlooking the walls and the city centre, along an ideal path that connects Keith Haring's Tuttomondo to the works of Porta a Mare, which rediscovers, also through art, its roots as a working-class and Catholic neighbourhood.

"With River stories - underlines the curator Gian Guido Maria Grassi - Tellas allows nature to reclaim the urban context, giving the river a space within the city's buildings. The work, which overlooks the Church of San Giovanni al Gatano designed by the great architect Saverio Muratori, it reconnects towards the walls and the center connecting towards the mural by Keith Haring".

"River stories - underlines the artist Fabio Schirru - is a work that wants to tell in a synthetic way, through shapes and colours, the river and the sea, two elements that are an integral part of the city of Pisa. The abstraction then intrigues the viewer the work, and leads him to reflect, to travel with his imagination, because abstract art provokes suggestions. I played with images that refer to nature, with the blue backdrops of the river and the sea and it is precisely this that makes the game with the spectator".
