Coolcuyle

Description

Artist Jan Poncelet painted these 3 power cabinets as part of Treepack's ‘Tour Elentrik’ project.

‘Coolcuyle’ is an old Dutch dialect word for coal mine. So it's no coincidence that the works are located at the former Zolder coal mine, where some 90,000 tonnes of coal were brought to the surface at a depth of 900 metres over 62 years.
