Il “no” alla violenza sulle donne del comune di Pontinia è chiaro e indelebile. Proprio come l’immagine dipinta dall’artista in occasione della Giornata Mondiale contro la violenza sulle donne. È il volto di Patria Mirabal,assassinata, insieme alle due sorelle, il 25 novembre 1960 per essersi ribellata al regime dittatoriale di Rafael Leónidas Trujillo.
