This mural was created as part of the commemorative activities for the Faculty’s 50th anniversary in 2021, which also marked the centenary of Luis García Berlanga’s birth. In celebration of this 'Berlanga Year' (Año Berlanguiano), the mural was accompanied by a film series featuring screenings of some of his most significant works.

The mural depicts a frame from one of the movie's most memorable scenes, in which the mayor of Villar del Río (played by Pepe Isbert) addresses the townspeople from the town hall balcony: 'As your mayor, I owe you an explanation…'
