Herdla Fortress - The Project

+8

Description

A StreetArt Bergen Project.
Project ran first weekend of May 2019. A whole bunch of graffiti and street artists moved out to Herdla fortress for a weekend. On designated spots art was painted. Our project had the aim to make visitors use the premises in a much larger fashion than regular visiting. Get out of the track into the forest kind of aim.
The base for Herdla which has been fortress for several centuries is the present museum where for instance the remedies of a Focke Wulf 190 A-2 can be seen.
Herdla is a windy and harsh place aprox 45 min drive from Bergen. It is therefore difficult to say how many of the pieces are still there. We know there have been some decaying, the extent we do not know. So if you take the trip out to Herdla, do in on a nice day the experience itself is awesome.
And on your way u could visit Fauskanger barne- og ungdomsskule where we have run two projects painting on the outside of the school.

The project was a colab between Askøy Kommune and StreetArt Bergen.

Started walking the streets back in 2015. This developed into shooting and documenting our streets. From there I dove into the scene becoming part of it. I developed the platform StreetArt Bergen (FB/STREETARTBERGEN.TRUE). A platform for documenting and organizing projects. By 2023 our projects have painted over 30K m2 of graffiti and street art in our turf. Largest single project was more than 13K m2.We don’t do tours nor merch. Good hunting in our turf.
