Grafisch kunstenaar Gijs Vanhee (@gijsvanhee) bracht dit imposant kunstwerk aan op een gevel van de Sporthal in Dilsen. 

De stad ligt dicht bij de rivier de Maas, die al geregeld overstroomde. Dit gegeven inspireerde Vanhee voor deze muurschildering met als titel 'After the flood'. Hij roept de vraag op wat de mensen zullen doen na een eventuele overstroming. Zijn typerende zwart-wit figuren zijn ook in dit werk weer volop aanwezig, maar ditmaal worden ze omringd door een blauwe achtergrond, die verwijst naar het overstroomde water van de Maas.

The city is close to the river Maas, which has flooded regularly. This fact inspired Vanhee for this mural entitled 'After the flood'. He raises the question of what people will do after a possible flood. His typical black-and-white figures are also fully present in this work, but this time they are surrounded by a blue background, which refers to the flooded water of the Maas.
