Dedicated to Domenico Luciano, a young partisan courier, killed by fascists on February 23, 1945, at just 12 years old.
A carrier pigeon pierced by a bullet and an envelope falling from its beak.
The son and brother of partisans, Domenico Luciano, known as "11" due to his young age, hid information and news in his school bag. He was with a group of partisans in a farmhouse in the countryside of Givoletto when the building was surrounded by fascists. At first light, a long firefight ensued, after which it was decided to let the boy out and wave a piece of white cloth as a sign of surrender. He was then hit by machine gun fire and killed.
