Homenagem à Procissão ao Mar

To all who are part of the Sea Procession during the Pilgrimage of Our Lady of Suffering, our deepest gratitude.

To those who work tirelessly on the carpets and decorations, to those who parade with dedication, to those who carry the floats, to those who promote, participate, and help in so many ways. Every gesture, every detail, and every contribution keeps this tradition alive, a symbol of the faith, identity, and unity of our city.

This tile piece—comprising over 50 boats and more than 370 cut and distilled fragments—is a small tribute to all those who give body and soul to this very special moment in Romaria each year.

We hope that this work will be received as a reflection of the beauty, dedication, and collective strength that make the Procession of the Sea one of the greatest expressions of our culture.

This year, the piece was planned and designed by Ricardo Ferreira and developed with Filipe Freitas and a team of helpers who, without them, could not have completed the piece to participate in our pilgrimage: José Franco; Jorge Barbosa; Reiner Bernert; Tomás Freitas; Sandra Franco; Rita Freitas thanks everyone.
