A hoarding on the corner of Oude Binnenweg and Karel Doormanstraat has been painted in a distinctive style by various artists from the street art collective Lastplak: Ox-Alien, KBTR and Doodkonijn.

The mural was created in the summer of 2026 and features the text ‘Free Pam the Bird’: a show of support for Pam the Bird, the Australian street artist who was arrested in July 2026 whilst climbing the Bolte Bridge in Melbourne to paint one of his iconic birds there, and who subsequently refused to come down for hours. The bird depicted on one of the two painted pillars beneath the text is the Pam the Bird bird.

The gnome with his bright red pointed cap above the contractor’s logo is KBTR’s character – an icon in the Dutch graffiti scene since 2000.

Ox-Alien is one of the driving forces behind Lastplak; his distinctive alien-like figures are recognisable by one eye shaped like an O and one eye shaped like an X.

Doodkonijn, the alter ego of the Rotterdam-based artist Diana Kusama, features a cute but dead rabbit – rendered in crisp black-and-white lines – in this instance, the bones in its body and ears are visible.

Een bouwschutting op de hoek van de Oude Binnenweg en de Karel Doormanstraat is op kenmerkende wijze beschilderd door verschillende kunstenaars van het streetartcollectief Lastplak: Ox-Alien, KBTR en Doodkonijn.

De schildering werd in de zomer van 2026 gemaakt en de tekst ‘Free Pam the Bird’ is te lezen: een steunbetuiging aan Pam the Bird, de Australische street artist die in juli 2026 werd gearresteerd toen hij de Bolte Bridge in Melbourne beklom om daar een van zijn iconische vogels te schilderen, en vervolgens urenlang weigerde naar beneden te komen. De vogels die op een van de twee geschilderde pilaren onder de tekst  is afgebeeld, is de Pam the Bird-vogel.

De kabouter met zijn knalrode puntmuts boven het aannemerslogo is het personage van KBTR – een icoon in de Nederlandse graffiti-scene sinds 2000.

Ox-Alien is een van de drijvende krachten achter Lastplak zijn kenmerkende alien achtige figuren zijn herkenbaar aan één oog in de vorm van een O en één oog in de vorm van een X.

Doodkonijn, het alter-ego van de Rotterdamse kunstenares Diana Kusama, heeft als personage een schattig, maar dood, konijn – in heldere zwartwitte lijnen - in dit geval zijn de botten in zijn lijf en oren zichtbaar.
