Lauren YS (they/them) is a queer Asian-American artist who captures stories in their freestyle murals. Their powerful storytelling has roots in their academic background in English literature and visual art. Intense colors and captivating portraits form a world where BIPOC and queer individuals find space and freedom. Lauren draws inspiration from mythology, dreams, animation, travel, nature, and their mixed Asian-American heritage.
