The mural created by @francofasolijaz decorated the wall of gymnasium #267 in Kyiv, Ukraine. It was created as part of the #BackToSchool project in 2017.
Typically, a JAZ artist will depict animals in their natural habitat that are mirror images of each other. The Kyiv gymnasium was no exception, so two symmetrical wild cats now adorn its wall. JAZ spent 7 days on its creation.
“It was a kind of challenge for me personally, because I am an artist who embodies the ideas of confrontation and collision in my images, but this time the medium changed me and switched the idea of confrontation to the idea of communication, using one of my signature symmetrical images. I depicted a dialogue between wild cats in the forest, talking to each other in a language that only they could understand. In their case, this is interpreted through the stripes on their skin. Communication and connection through a kind of signals, without any words, and in my case the experience was like a dance. Being a Spanish speaker, I try to communicate with the local environment and feel people's emotions related to my work. This time the choice of colors was key to connect with the environment. Common colors in people's clothes, buildings and cars. The use of this particular palette in the mural made it possible to blend harmoniously with the environment on a different level," says JAZ
