"Wood Duck"

Description

Roman-born artist Hitnes has been painting animal- and nature-inspired graffiti and murals for decades and in July 2015 he began working with the National Audubon Society to honor Audubon’s encyclopedic work, The Birds of America, with avian murals painted across 15 US states. Originally painted for Junior League store at Valence and Freret the mural was removed a few years later when Rouses transformed the property into a new supermarket.
