The Wickingstraße street art project transformed a dark, 174-meter railway underpass in Gelsenkirchen into a vibrant open-air gallery. It was created to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the city. The project was completed in late 2025. It was organized by the city's culture and marketing departments alongside the local art scene.
