LETTERS TO GRANDMA

"Letters to Grandma" is the title of my photomural project, which I've carried out for the second year in various towns in Córdoba, for the important and much-needed LAND OF WOMEN project, in which RURAL WOMEN receive their well-deserved tribute. This initiative comes from the Equality Department of the Córdoba Provincial Council in collaboration with the town councils of the different towns: Fuente Ovejuna, Palenciana, La Granjuela, El Fontanar, and Moriles. It's a beautiful project, and I'm especially grateful to the granddaughters, daughters, and nieces of the WOMEN being honored, and to the women themselves: Carmen, Rafaela, Elisenda, Ana, Ezequiela, Eva, Conchita… for their dedication and enthusiasm, sharing with me memories, experiences, hardships, and above all, the love that these women poured out and that, fortunately, some will continue to pour out for a long time to come… that is their way of being in the world… love and devotion to all those around them. I also want to thank the people who encouraged me to pick up a paintbrush… Carmen, Ana, Luisa, Balbina, Janet, Tania…

CARTAS A LA ABUELA

«Cartas a la Abuela», así titulé mi proyecto de fotomurales que, por segundo año he realizado por diferentes pueblos de Córdoba, para el interesante y necesario proyecto TIERRA DE MUJERES, en el que la MUJER RURAL tiene su merecido homenaje. Esta iniciativa parte del Departamento de Igualdad de la Diputación de Córdoba en colaboración con los Ayuntamientos de los diferentes pueblos: Fuente Ovejuna, Palenciana, La Granjuela, El Fontanar y Moriles. Un precioso proyecto que, especialmente, agradezco a las nietas, hijas y sobrinas… de las MUJERES homenajeadas y a ellas mismas: Carmen, Rafaela, Elisenda, Ana, Ezequiela, Eva, Conchita… por su entrega y entusiasmo, compartiendo conmigo recuerdos, vivencias, sufrimientos y, sobre todo; el amor que estas mujeres derramaron y que, afortunadamente, algunas y por mucho tiempo seguirán derramando… esa es su manera de estar en el mundo… el amor y la entrega a cuantos las rodean. También agradezco a las personas que animaron a coger la brocha… Carmen, Ana, Luisa, Balbina, Janet, Tania…
