The project "My Home" was started in 2022 by Belarusian, Georgian and Polish artists for the purpose of helping people forced into refuge and to support specific families. These people had to leave behind everything material, even the most valuable, what constitutes heritage, what holds history and is one of the basic components of culture. By stimulating debate, fostering compassion and a sense of community, we contribute to building a more conscious and sustainable society, which in future and present will be able to resist xenophobia and build solidarity in the fight for freedom and justice. Our project is taking form of a series of murals bringing together local artists and citizens, art activists and art audiences in different countries. The core of our project is to show the real history of emigrated family in local society environment that was forced to escape. Within the project we created a mural in Śrem (Poland) and Tbilisi (Georgia). Mural in Śrem depicts refugees from the war: a young mother carrying her child like her home in her arms, into an unknown future and with the hope for a better life. The background is made up of motifs of folk art.
