Description

The pro-Palestinian street art depicting a boy holding a Palestinian flag and the wordplay "3 (Free) Palestine" was created on the roller shutter at 37–39 Brick Lane by Paint for Palestine, an anonymous collective of street artists and graffiti artists that shows solidarity through graffiti. Among other things, they paint shop shutters and walls to raise awareness and are mainly active in neighbourhoods such as East London and Tower Hamlets.

Although the exact date is not stated on the shutter, this specific type of political graffiti appeared en masse on the shutters in Brick Lane during the period late 2023 and throughout 2024.

As the artwork is painted on a shutter, it is only visible when the shop is closed.
