Toen Tony Theijs - een voormalig militair - op het militaire vliegveld van Schaffen een grote muurschildering zag, wilde hij op zijn eigen huis ook een soortgelijk kunstwerk. Hij contacteerde Nihan Yilmaz die, op basis van schetsen van zoon Mario Theijs, op de voorgevel een muurschildering met parachutes, een militair die groet na zijn landing en een groot vliegtuig aanbracht. Vader en zoon Theijs waren zo tevreden over de muurschildering dat ze Yilmaz vroegen om op de zijgevel van het huis nog andere militaire taferelen aan te brengen.

When Tony Theijs, a former soldier, saw a large mural at the military airfield in Schaffen, he wanted a similar work of art on his own house. He contacted Nihan Yilmaz, who, based on sketches by his son Mario Theijs, painted a mural on the front of the house featuring parachutes, a soldier saluting after landing and a large aeroplane. Father and son Theijs were so pleased with the mural that they asked Yilmaz to paint other military scenes on the side of the house.
