Stary Marych

A new mural depicting Stary Marych has been created at 4 Konfederacka Street in Poznań. He is one of the most recognizable figures associated with the Poznań dialect and local identity, serving as a reminder of the city's unique character and traditions.

The mural incorporates key symbols of Poznań; alongside Stary Marych, it features elements such as the city's famous billy goats, the Okrąglak building, and references to the local dialect. However, the artists opted for a modern interpretation of the well-known figure, depicting Stary Marych in a contemporary style rather than his traditional attire.

This new artwork was created as part of the second edition of the Mural Festival, organized by the Artystyczne Murale group. The event aims to produce works that highlight Poznań's history, culture, and local character.
