The mural depicts a calm, protected scene inside a glowing orange camping tent where a cozy seagull sits safely nested. Outside the tent, a dramatic storm unfolds with dark, swirling rainclouds, driving raindrops, and a vibrant rainbow cutting across the sky next to a body of water.
The artwork explores deep themes of shelter, belonging and the critical importance of a safe hoem. The central figure remains steady and protected while turbulent weather moves around it, symbolizing resilience, stability, and the assurance that support systems exist through difficult times.
Developed as a community-led initiative, residents and participants contributed ideas and sketches reflecting Forum Housing's values, which Brezaux then translated into the final design before everyone painted the wall side by side.
