NeSpoon

Description

The NeSpoon mural was created in 2015 using stencils and spray paint on the walls of the townhouse at 54 Sobieskiego Street. The artwork features a large-scale openwork pattern inspired by traditional handmade bobbin lace produced in Bobowa, the oldest lace-making centre in Poland, located in the Lesser Poland region.

The mural was created as part of the “oBBraz miasta #2” project, organised by the Fundacja Galerii Bielskiej and Galeria Bielska BWA, with co-financing from the municipal budget of Bielsko-Biała.

NeSpoon since 2009, she has been creating lace-inspired artworks in various forms, including murals, paintings, installations and ceramic bas-reliefs. Her works are exhibited both in art galleries and public spaces, where they function as artistic interventions. NeSpoon’s lace murals can be found around the world, including in China, India, Australia, Finland, Portugal, France and Italy.
