Serge Kortenbroek is a self-taught artist who lives in Delft and works under the alias of Serge Kb. He draws and paints surreal creatures, animals, cyborgs and androids. On diverse surfaces – canvas and paper, but also walls and found objects – he creates grim scenes with a twist. By experimententing with different materials and topics, Serge’s style is developing continuously. His works are often inspired by nature and its weird and beautiful creatures, regularly pimped with analog elements. His interest in the abandoned and decayed can be seen throughout his work with pieces painted on old rusty metal or damaged wooden plates, often found in abandoned and forgotten buildings.
