Born in Norwich and raised in South Africa, Ant Steel, who now calls St Albans home, is the artist behind the captivating mural that graces the walls of Twelve bar in Southend. The centerpiece? A mesmerising blue lady and a majestic whale. While there’s no concrete evidence I’ve found linking it to the Southend City Jam arts festival, the timing and artistic style raise an intriguing possibility.
