Once symbols of production, industry, and matter, chimneys today have emptied of their original function to become vertical bridges towards elsewhere. With their intervention on the boiler house of the municipal gym in Limena, Lélé and Ofet invite us to shift perspective: to fuse reality and imagination, earth and sky, labour and dream.

The blue geometries running along the tower evoke the energy of air and water — elements in motion, unstable yet vital. The deep, almost cosmic blue becomes the backdrop for an ascent: not an escape, but a conscious act of observation and listening. An invitation to slow the gaze, to climb in order to see better — or deeper.

“When the real is too real”, the artists remind us, dreaming is not about escape, but about transformation. To flâner, to wander, to contemplate are not wastes of time: they are revolutionary acts of presence. This vertical wall thus becomes an imaginary path, a column of breath, a space in which to lose oneself… only to find oneself again, higher up.
