The new mural by Argentine Francisco Bosoletti leaves no one indifferent, "and that was the goal. We felt the urgency to take a stand because there hadn't been any other initiatives on the issue here. We're a small community, but what happens in the world affects us."

A headless body with blurred edges, almost losing all traces of its human form. Roots emerge from the base of its neck, projecting downward. Absurdly, their place should be the other way around: from beneath the ground toward the sky. This monster, leaning forward, towers over the face of a screaming child with these tentacled roots, gripped by the most intense pain imaginable. It is the only visible part of a person who is disappearing into the earth. Its belonging to that place will be replaced by the imposed roots, lowered from above by this evil and dominant creature.

It's not hard to understand why this work, the last mural that the  BoCa Collective  commissioned in Bonito, is titled  Genocide , and is  dedicated to Palestine .
It was created by  Francisco Bosoletti , an Argentine artist who had already donated the splendid Genesis to the Irpinia village  . A work that, according to the international magazine Widewalls, is one of the most beautiful murals in the world.

As if in a prophecy as banal as it is inescapable, Bonito Bosoletti comes full circle: from birth, with the fire igniting in a woman's womb, to death, in its most brutal form.
Because it's not just about depicting the end of life, a shared destiny. The genocide underway against the Palestinians is much more. It is the erasure of a people, their culture, their history. It is substitution, oppression. Under the apologetic and complicit eyes of much of the world, a state, Israel, is exterminating a community and imposing its presence on a land that was once inhabited.
