The mural combines a dynamic pattern of blue and white waves with two three-dimensional flowers that project prominently from the wall. The flowing lines and vivid colours evoke Vincent van Gogh’s “The Starry Night”.

The work was created by Heike "Eldorada" Falke, a qualified designer and artist from Neustadt an der Weinstraße. Her artistic approach is characterised by vibrant colours and motifs drawn from nature.

The mural is associated with the Ökohof project centre and the Wespe e. V. association, whose initiatives have shaped the surroundings of the building. A banner added at a later date bearing the words “Neustadt bleibt bunt” (“Neustadt remains colourful”) introduces an additional social dimension. The slogan stands for diversity and tolerance and reinforces the building’s role as an open space for culture and community engagement.
