TWO CULTURES IN LOVE

This project by artist Okuda, in the heart of District Usera consists of a Paifang Arch (chinese style ), built over one of the roads that connects the neighborhood, where each pillar is erected on a side of the street

Usera is the district with the largest Chinese Population, and this artwork represents the celebration of the encounter between the Chinese and Spanish Cultures.

The Pagoda Style Arch will be decorated with two Dragons, symbol of China, and one Bear, symbol of Madrid, and will add some Chinese calligraphy with messages about Coexistence, Harmony and Respect

The Arch has been sponsored by the District Council and will be inaugurated on the 1st of October
