L’inauguration de cette fresque s’inscrit dans un hommage vibrant à Akira Toriyama, mangaka japonais emblématique, créateur de Dragon Ball.

Toriyama a profondément marqué l’histoire du manga et de la culture populaire mondiale.

Cette fresque à Morlanwelz, dédiée à l’univers du manga, s’inscrit donc comme un pont entre l’œuvre de Toriyama et le street art contemporain. En peignant cet hommage dans l’espace public, l’artiste Iksté fait vivre la mémoire de Toriyama, tout en invitant le public à se replonger dans l’imaginaire de Dragon Ball — ses personnages, ses valeurs, ses rêves.
