Tardes de Verano

Description

English
This mural is a tribute to all the grandfathers and grandmothers who have been the heart of our neighborhoods.

To those endless afternoons when doors were open and chairs were brought out into the street to chat with neighbors.

The scene portrays an elderly woman, with the character and warmth of so many women from the neighborhood, sitting in her traditional rush-seated chair. Her black dress with white polka dots evokes the everyday simplicity of another era. Beside her, her grandson plays carefree with a small wooden car, oblivious to the passage of time.

The Andalusian patio, with its tiled wainscoting, wrought-iron window, and flowerpot blooming in the light of the setting sun, frames an intimate and universal moment: the silent transmission of life between generations.

Because before cell phones and the rush of daily life, there were summer afternoons, conversations among neighbors, and the quiet love of grandparents nurturing the future.
