RISE & FALL

This mural draws inspiration from the myth of Icarus but from a different perspective: here, he is struck by Cupid’s arrow and falls in love with the sun, attempting to reach it in search of happiness and love—even at the cost of being burned time and again.

Sometimes we fly too close to the sun, only to end up getting burned, over and over. Perhaps driven by love, by a passion, by a dream, or by sheer recklessness.

I find the desire to pursue a passion fascinating, even if it means getting burned in the attempt.
