Painted on the cliff face of the retaining wall on Gadigal and Wangal Country, this giant artwork depicts an Indigenous man looking out over White Bay. Streams of grass, leaves, and red and blue paint streaks adorn the background around him.
This large-scale mural was commissioned by Inner West Council as celebrations for the 10th birthday of the Wall2Wall Mural Competition.
I hope the mural will have a significant impact on all the international people as they come through the harbour, and that it reminds the world of the original people of Australia. - Matt Adnate
