This mural was painted in October 2019 by the artist Jantien Jongsma (born in Harlingen in 1965, now living and working in Amsterdam). She calls it an abstracted version of a walk in Leerdam on a sunday afternoon. It consists of abstract shapes in colours that refer to the feel of the city, its water and its quay. Figurative scenes have been painted over the abstract shapes using clear and distinct lines, echoing the encounter between artist and city.
