Created by Jimmy Loodts in collaboration with Stijn Olieslagers, Jan Matthé and Geert Aerts. The finishing touch was provided by Jim's family. The work depicts a fox head in low poly. This fox was born as follows. We had to rent a scaffolding for urgent roof repairs and I seized this opportunity to make a silent dream come true. As fast as I could I made this design for a mural. Thanks to the smooth cooperation of the city of Leuven and Infrabel, we quickly received our permission and access to the site. On two days I transferred the main design to the wall.
On the third day, my mates Stijn, Jan and Geert helped to finalize the design and spray the surfaces. Finally, my family provided the finishing touches. None of us had ever done anything with murals or spray cans, so we were very happy that this worked.
For future enthusiasts who can't immediately find out how many spray cans to buy; we finally used 31 cans of 400 ml in 17 different colors to spray 33 m². One spray can contains enough paint to decently cover about 1.5 m². For spraying surfaces we were happy with our A2P3 mouth mask to keep the paint particles (P3) and the toxic fumes (A2) out of our lungs.
